Make Me a Supermodel Finale

Make Me a Supermodel 's finale aired last night and the result was very America's Next Top Supermodelish, meaning the contestant with the superior runway walk and more consistent portfolio lost to the constestant with a better storyline. Over the course of the season, I felt the show was moving towards a Branden victory, beginning with the judges overly criticizing him for being cocky on the runway and placing him in the bottom two. He hadn't actually been that bad, and cockiness is a necessity for a good male runway model, but a storyline emerged in which Branden took the criticism, got depressed, then eventually brushed himself off to become a superior model, going from boy to man. Eh. I'm not saying Branden was a poor choice for the winner, he was definitely a better pick than Sandhurst, but I don't believe he was at the same level as Jonathan, Mountaha, or Salome. Surely, those losers/non-winners will all receive modeling contracts anyway, considering most of last season's contestants were picked up by agencies, so it all works out in the end, but still JONATHAN SHOULD HAVE WON THIS!

Jonathan's and Branden's Backsides (Again)

As it winds down, I'm starting to appreciate the new season of Make Me a Supermodel almost as much as the first. Even without a "Bronnie" this show is undeniably gay. I wonder why...

Also, I started off not really caring for Branden, but he's beginning to grow on me. I mean he's no Jonathan, but even with its imperfections, Branden's photograph made me happy this week. Adorable.

The Naked Episode

Last night was Make Me a Supermodel's nude photoshoot, and I have to admit it was kind of boring. You would expect an episode featuring Jonathan's bare backside would get me excited, but it didn't. I mean, of course, Jonathan had a great rear, as did Branden, but the episode as a whole was on the dull side, even with the hilarious Branden's bleeding testicles bit. At the very least, they finally got rid of Amanda. After saying she didn't want her son to grow up gay, she was obviously going to get kicked off. . You can't get away with being openly homophobic on a Bravo reality series - unless you're an attractive male - coughbrandencough. Anyway some photos from last night:

It's About Time!

The previews for next week's episode of Make Me a Supermodel revealed the models will finally being posing nude. Of course, the show waited until there were only three male models left in the competition. I feel cheated! This is why I believe the very first challenge of the season should be posing nude. C'mon producers, think about it. Anyway... in the previews you caught a brief glimpse of Jonathan's backside - thank you Bravo - but the best part was the discussion of Branden's accident with a razor and his testicles. I almost died laughing. Also, thank God Colin's finally gone, though I wouldn't have minded if Amanda had gone instead. Like not like at like all!

Why Is He Still There?

Honestly now, why is Colin still on Make Me a Supermodel. He's not a great model, and he probably never will be. Yes Colin's a nice guy, and in real life he's someone I'd probably be friends with, but he can't compete with some of the other contestants on the show. He has probably lasted this long because of being a geeky virgin and the possible budding relationship between him and Kerryn, but Kerryn got kicked off last night, as a result of being dragged down by Colin in a photoshoot. There's no longer a reason for the producers to keep him on the show. But whatever, I just keep reminding myself it's only a TV show.

Heeellllllloooooooo Nurse!

So last week I complained about the lack of male nudity on this season's Make Me a Supermodel, particularly in regards to contestant Jonathan. Well the gods have been merciful this week, and modeling shots of Jonathan, including a rear shot, have made their way around the web. I would like to say the man possesses a cute, tight little booty. Now if only it could be featured on the show. I mean, a booty's always better in motion.

Hey MMAS, Where's the Nudity?

Make Me a Supermodel aired its fifth episode last night, but so far the only male nudity featured this season was Branden's rear shot from last week. C'mon guys, you know why the majority of people (i.e. women and gay men) watch this show... to see some man ass. Jonathan and Sandhurst better be naked at some point, and if you're going to keep Gabriel around, at least make it worth my while. Last night we did get to see Jonathan in 2(x)ist bikini briefs at a go-see. Sigh. My reactions were very similar to the casting director - he got nervous and his palms were sweaty. I'm starting to think I'm in love with this Jonathan. At this point I actually find him more attractive than last season's Ronnie. Never thought I'd say that about a contestant. He better win! Anyway to close out this post, here's a shot of Branden's cute butt from last week's episode.

Wednesday Night Hotness

Last night's television sure featured a lot of eye-candy. First, 90s hottie Dan Gauthier guest starred as the Ajira co-pilot on Lost, only to be killed five minutes later in the plane crash. Does anyone else remember him popping up on every television series during the mid to late nineties?Life on Mars had Jason O'Mara shirtless with a ton of facial hair and a black eye. Total hotness. Plus the episode allowed him to speak in his actual Irish brogue. The accent, of course. makes me swoon. I'm going to miss this show, particularly O'Mara. On Make Me a Supermodel, my favorite contestant, Jonathan, was first featured wearing football shoulder-pads and then a cod-piece. Sigh. You know everyone keeps going on about how Branden is the hotest guy there, but I'm sorry he's not. At least I don't think so. Way too young for my taste. In the end, I really hope Jonathan takes the prize.

Make Me a Supermodel Returns

And I couldn't be happier about it! I actually think the series has a higher quality about it than America's Next Top Model, and depictsthe modeling industry more realistically. Now I loves me some ANTM, but the show's all about Tyra and Tyra being proud about raising girls' self-esteem. Many of those girls would probably be tossed out of a modeling agency if they set foot in the door. Make Me a Supermodel also has going for it cute boys. I firmly believe cute boys make any reality show better. As of right now I'm all about Jonathan - oh, the abs on that man - but he could quickly turn out to be an annoying a**hole, and I'd be routing against him. Such was the case with Perry last season. With last night's premiere, I'm kind of disappointed Ken was elimated first, not because I thought he had great modeling potential, but because he had an amazing ass, which judge/former model Jenny Shimizu (love you!) thankfully pointed out. Now we won't be able to see it shown off. If there's one thing that makes this show great, it's the fact they show bare ass. Can I get an Amen!

Farewell, Ken's ass - We hardly knew ya!
